Cherie Currie – “Queen of Noise” (audio interview)

“The lost daughter of Iggy Pop and Brigitte Bardot” Bomp Magazine….

Cherie Currie, the former vocalist of iconic all girl 70’s band, The Runaways, a solo artist and between that actress, author and chainsaw artist is heading to Australia for the very first time this May/June. Currie will be playing some Runaways classics, as well a few covers and her own songs as part of the tour in what promises to be more than just a nostalgia trip for many fans.

Wall of Sound caught up with Cherie to talk about her time with The Runaways, including controversial manager, Kim Fowley as well as some of her band mates including Joan Jett. We also delved into parts of The Runaways movie starring Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart and even asked for some advice for rising teen metal sensations, Baby Metal.
