RICK DANGEROUS & THE SILKIE BANTAMS DROP “BRUJA” SINGLE & TOUR
Pioneers at the forefront of the Thrustcore revolution, Sydney’s Rick Dangerous & the Silkie Bantams are gearing up to release their second EP Thrust Machine, due to fly the coop this April. The band are giving fans their first taste of what to expect, by releasing the hard hitting new single ‘Bruja’, which will see the band play a string of dates down the east-coast.
Rick and his feathered friends, Oscar de la Talon (guitar), Sir Gregory Peck (bass) and Feather Locklear (drums) have been inappropriately suckling at the teat of the Australian music scene since 2014, with their sound being described as sexy, repulsive, abusive, and at best, obnoxious. They were recently announced as part of Legion Fest line-up, and have been turning heads with their energetic, and somewhat left-of-centre live shows.
“With highly-danceable groove metal riffage, some of the most clever and hilarious lyrics you’ve heard this century and a bespectacled tea-sipping frontman who pelvic-thrusts like a sexual maths teacher whilst screaming like a deranged psychopath, Rick Dangerous & The Silkie Bantams have one of the most captivating and entertaining live shows in Australia right now” – Music Feeds
The new single ‘Bruja’ is available for streaming now via the band’s Soundcloud page, and will be available for download from iTunes in the coming weeks.
