Colibrium announce ‘In Balance’ album & tour dates

Adelaide’s Colibrium are finding the balance, the push and pull of their artistic careers – by releasing their debut album on Friday March 11. The five-piece rock outfit have been dominating the South Australian music scene for years and this release sees them announce their presence on the national music stage and bring their massive sound to the masses. In Balance is their debut 8-track LP and will be available online and at their release parties around Australia in March and April.

Colibirum are not ones to rest on their laurels – the band have been consistently playing supports, recording, releasing singles and filmclips and venturing out in to the world, playing shows further and wider. Boasting a hefty work ethic, they focused that energy into the album.

2015 saw them doing supports for Canadians Thousand Foot Krutch, Brisbane crew Like Thieves, Melbourne’s Jericco and a near-sold-out launch show of their own in Adelaide meant that they were one of the most in-demand acts in town. They are taking the stage in Brisbane, Melbourne, Bendigo and hometown Adelaide to celebrate the release.

Guitarist Christian Tassone is more than enthusiastic about the record’s release. “This is something that we have been working towards for so long. It’s nearly there and we are so proud of it. It’s going to be amazing to get to play it finally in front of people around the country and most specifically – in front of the Adelaide crowd, who have been with us all along the way!”

The South Australian 5-piece have spent the last three years collaborating with the best of the best on what has become In Balance. Produced by Reid Jones, Mixed by Reid Jones/Forrester Savell and Mastered by Forrester Savell, the band sought out this Voltron of Rock engineers to give life to In Balance.

Colbrium drew influence from a broad spectrum of musical influences, from Led Zeppelin to Radiohead to Tool, through to that of Australian rock heavyweights Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus.

In Balance is out Friday March 11th on iTunes and Spotify and will be available from the band’s merch site and from the shows on tour.
