Wall of Sound presents “2015 YEAR IN REVIEW” – by Voyager’s Simone Dow

Perth’s prog rock/metal specialists, Voyager are next up on ‘2015’s Year In Review’, with guitarist Simone Dow laying down her favourites for the year.

Voyager had one of the albums of the year in the previous twelve months with V topping several end of year lists in 2014. Heading into this year it was a quieter build up with a February show with Chaos Divine one of the local stand out gigs. In May the band began a national tour in support of their new music video, ‘Seasons of Age’ and also that month supported Opeth in Perth. August/September saw the band embark on a Candian/United States tour in support of Sweden’s Evergrey with the tour culminating in the band playing on the prestigous ‘Prog Power’ show in Atlanta.

Next year will see Voyager head out on a full national tour in support of Epica in March and prior to that a few shows around the country with Norway’s Leprous before heading out on a European tour with that band later in March/April.

Meanwhile enjoy Simone’s ‘best of the best’ look at the year that was…..

NEXT BIG BAND IN AUSTRALIA? (not your own haha)
There are so many amazing bands around Australia at the moment it’s really hard to pick one. Some hard working bands that are starting to really kick arse in the metal scene at the moment are Caligula’s Horse, Ne Obliviscaris and Sanzu to name a few, but I encourage everyone to delve deep cause we have a lot of stellar music in all genres to offer in this great big sunburnt country!

Thanks to Simone from Voyager for her best of 2015!
