Colibrium release new single ‘Locked & Loaded’ + Filmclip

Colibrium are today releasing their video for their second single ‘Locked and Loaded’. The track comes as they ramp up towards releasing their full album in early 2016.

The Adelaide-ian 5 piece are a bold, brash, modern rock outfit. The riffs and the soaring vocals should tell you that, but what you probably don’t know is that they consistently pull huge numbers to their shows in Adelaide and they are busting to get to the far reaches of the country to spread the word about their forthcoming debut full-length record.

It’s been a big 2015 for Colibrium – supports for Canadians Thousand Foot Krutch, Brisbane crew Like Thieves, Melbourne’s Jericco and a near-sold-out launch show of their own in Adelaide meant that they were one of the most in-demand acts in town. 2016 will see them release a further single and then their self-titled debut album. Tours and shows will follow each, with details to be announced.

The single is a driving riff-fest with vocalist Chris Gard‘s huge voice leading the way. Christian Tassone, lead guitarist for the band, said “It’s going to be great to finally have something that we are super-proud of out there in the world. We’ve played shows and toured before, but these songs really back up the show we play – it’s been a long time coming to this.”

The South Australian 5-piece have spent the last three years collaborating with the best of the best on what has become Colibrium’s self-titled debut album is set for release early in 2016. This single, Locked and Loaded, as well as the rest of the record was Produced by Reid Jones, Mixed by Reid Jones and Forrester Savell and Mastered by Forrester Savell.

Colbrium drew influence from a broad spectrum of musical influences, from Led Zeppelin to Radiohead to Tool, through to that of Australian rock heavyweights Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus.

The Locked and Loaded filmclip was produced, shot and edited by Aaron Schuppan and made use of the streets of Adelaide and the Deep Blue Studios location.
