Eagles of Death Metal caught up in Paris Attack

As we wake up this morning we’re hearing and reading news of the terrible attacks in Paris which saw around 112 fans lose their lives and left many others wounded at an Eagles of Death Metal show at the Le Bataclan concert hall in central Paris. Police stormed the sold out venue (which has a capacity of 1500), killing three terrorists who had forced their way inside, firing shots at concert goes and taking others hostage.

The band managed to escaped as all the drama unfolded stating on their Facebook page:

“We are still currently trying to determine the safety and whereabouts of all our band and crew. Our thoughts are with all of the people involved in this tragic situation.”

It was later confirmed by front-man Jesse Hughes‘ mother JoEllen Hill-Hughes that the band was all accounted for:

“Update just got word the rest of the band is ok. .. plz keep praying for those still being held and pray for the police”

It it still not clear if the missing members of the stage crew have been found as of yet however fellow member Josh Homme was at home in Palm Desert, California at the time of the attack and not on tour with the rest of the touring band members.

Metal act Deftones were scheduled to perform at the venue for three nights in a row from tomorrow night have informed fans they are safe and accounted for too. Opening act White Miles also managed to get away safely from the venue.

A truly tragic circumstance for everyone involved over there. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved.
