Stewart Hill – Dead Letter Circus (audio interview)

Aesthesis, Dead Letter Circus‘ latest studio album, number three in the band’s growing discography was released last month. The record charted as high as number two on the ARIA charts. More melodic, more textured and more structured around vocalist, Kim Benzie‘s amazing vocal dexterity, the album displays a growing maturity in song writing and music that contiues to showcase Dead Letter Circus as a force to be reckoned with in the Australian music scene for 2015 and beyond.

Wall of Sound spoke to bass player, Stewart Hill, an inaugural member of the band now into their tenth year. The quintet are in the midst of some heavy rehearsals at present prior to heading off around Australia again, on an extensive national tour alongside fellow Brisbane prog-rock mates, Guards Of May. The tour will also feature, Knoxville’s, 10 Years who join the tour from the 10th October onwards.

Hill speaks to us regarding the tour, the recording of the album, 10 Years and what he is most looking forward to on Soundwave 2016.

In other news….don’t ask a Queenslander about the AFL. Lesson learnt.
