Soulfly offer up 360 degree music video for ‘Archangel’…..announce new bass player

Soulfly offered a unique vantage point last week, releasing a 360 degree camera angle from ‘the pit’ for latest video, ‘Archangel’. Simply navigate at the top left of the video and submerge yourself in the Soulfly mosh.

Soulfly‘s tenth studio album Archangel was released August 14th and has been receiving some very good reviews from around the metal industry. Check out Wall of Sound‘s review here. Front man, Max Cavalera explained the vibe of the latest album to Wall of Sound, back in July;

“There are different influences. I listen to a lot of metal from around the world such as Melechesh, King Parrot, Psycroptic, Aborted. All these bands influenced or inspired me on Archangel. It’s a brutal album, however, in essence Archangel is a very metal record. It is a full metal record. That is the coolest thing about it,” Cavalera says.

Meanwhile, Soulfly has added Mike Leon from thrash band, Havok to play bass on the band’s upcoming U.S tour with fellow Nuclear Blast label mates, Soilwork. The bass position had recently been occupied by Max Cavalera‘s son, Igor Jnr from the band Lody Kong. Whether or not Leon will become a permanent member of Soulfly, only time will tell.
