Perth’s Scalphunter release new single, ‘Best of Me’

Perth punk rock legends, Scalphunter have thrown out to the world their new single, ‘Best of Me’ from their forthcoming as yet untitled debut album. Recent singles, ‘Keepers of the Night’ and ‘Bleeding Out’ whet the appetite and the debut album can’t come quick enough from the quartet.

With three EPs and a 4-way split 7” to their name, Scalphunter are now working on taking their recordings to the next level, with the first tastes being singles recorded at Electric City Studios with the award-winning Adam Round (POND, Voyager, The Floors, Timothy Nelson and The Infidels, The Growl and Tame Impala), and their debut album slated for a release in the latter half of the year. Plus national tours will see them tearing it up near you soon.

Previously winning WA’s biggest live band comp The Big Splash and named by Blunt Magazine as one of their yearly 20 Bands To Watch, they’ve staged blistering performances at festivals such as Beaufort St Festival, RTRFM’s In The Pines and Hyperfest and impressed the likes of The Mark Of Cain, The Datsuns, High On Fire, Municipal Waste, Black Cobra, Jucifer, The Subhumans, Gay Paris, Dead City Ruins, Clowns and more as supports.

So check out the new track for yourselves!

If you missed it last month, July saw the release of episode nine in RTRFM’s twelve-part online short film series, The View From Here – and with it, featured Scalphunter who ripped into a killer five song set. Check it out….and don’t miss these guys should they venture east in the future!
