Parkway Drive take fans “Behind the Scenes” of Vice Grip

Last month Parkway Drive released “Vice Grip” which had one of the most awesome video clips we’ve ever feasted our eyes on. 1.3 Million views and counting later, the guys have decided to put out a “Behind the Scenes” look at the making of the video which at first was a bit of a joke idea. Parkway go into details about how much training they needed to complete the intense skydiving scenes and how they decided to make the video reflect the meaning behind the song:

“The song itself I wrote about overcoming fears. So we had this strange idea of hey lets jump out of an aeroplane. I’m terrified of heights. This was the scariest thing I’ve done in my entire life. It became one of those moments when I realised yeah you’ve written this song and the lyrics mean a lot to you but if you don’t follow through with them then your not exactly practicing what you preach, like listen to what you’ve exactly put on paper.“- Winston McCall explains.

Now I don’t care what you say about the band’s direction in sound, the song and video are both perfect examples of how far Parkway Drive have come throughout their career and with Winston overcoming his own personal fears to deliver us a fantastic piece of art like the “Vice Grip” video, you have to give credit where credit is due.
