Iconic Metallers Slayer have teased their forthcoming album Repentless by revealing the album artwork and announcing when fans can finally let their ears be exposed to some new music. Their 11th studio album isn’t due for release until September 11th but this Friday (June 19) they’ll be unveiling the “first official (and album title) track” digitally to help please eagerly anticipating fans.
Slayer have also showed off the album artwork which was created by Marcelo Vasco, a Brazillian artist who collaborated alongside Tom Araya and Kerry King. When speaking about the final decision for the album art Araya stated “We had a number of submitted ideas for the cover artwork”, and we felt Marcelo’s was the best. We made some suggestions and the result is an awesome album cover.”
Repentless will be Slayer’s first release since 2009’s Grammy-Nominated “World Painted Blood” and they will be touring in support of it’s release (Soundwave anyone!?). We’ll keep you in the loop, until then get familiar with their most recent track When The Stillness Comes below.
Until next time, rock the rock out!
