Phil Rudd: Murder For Hire Charge Dropped

There’s been a new twist in the AC/DC case against drummer Phil Rudd, with the most serious charge against him dropped in a Kiwi court.

A charge of trying to hire a hitman to kill two people in New Zealand has been withdrawn, with prosecutors admitting there’s not enough evidence.

The rocker still faces charges of threatening to kill and possession of drugs, after police swooped on his North Island home yesterday, where he’s lived for some time.

AC/DC released a statement this morning saying Rudd’s arrest won’t impact the world tour next year, or the release of the new album Rock or Bust.
